Zizou Bergs vs Ugo Humbert Prediction

Belgium’s Zizou Bergs won the first set of his quarter-final against Zhizhen Zhang before his Chinese opponent retired through injury so Bergs progressed to the semis.

During that first set, he blasted 11 aces and only lost six points on his serve and he will take plenty of heart from that performance even if Zhizhen was below-par.

He now meets Ugo Humbert who he has never played before on the ATP Tour despite being similar ages.

Humbert is coming off a really strong win over seventh-seed Lorenzo Sonego 6-4 6-4. There was little between the two players and it was a high-quality match but Humbert had that extra determination at key moments to get the win.

Humbert is the defending champion and he is clearly desperate to win this tournament once again. When he is playing on home soil he just has that extra bit of motivation. He has to be favoured but we cannot underestimate Bergs who is playing some of his best tennis right now. Consider the overs in total games in this one and do not be surprised if it goes to a deciding set.
