Zizou Bergs vs Alexei Popyrin Prediction

Zizou Bergs is enjoying a strong start to 2025 and the Belgian will be hoping to continue that at the Sunshine Double starting this week.

He got off to a winning start against Ethan Quinn in the first round edging it 7-6 6-3 in what was a solid enough performance but he will be hoping to step it up a level here.

He now faces Alexei Popyrin who received a bye in the first round as he is the 26th seed and the Australian will hope to build some momentum this week after getting his first win of the year in Dubai last week.

Popyrin does not have a great deal of form behind him right now and he did lose to Bergs in their only previous meeting on the ATP Tour back in 2022. He is one of the vulnerable seeds in the second round and we would have to lean towards Bergs for this one in what should be a really tight match.
