Zimbabwe Form: Bowlers unable to disturb Pakistan openers

Zimbabwe were bundled out for just 145 in the second ODI with a top individual score of 33 from Dion Myers telling the story. The bowlers had precious little to work with and couldn’t take the early wickets they needed as Pakistan strolled home without losing a single wicket in the end.

LAST THREE: LWL

Pakistan Form: Quality all-round performance

Pakistan deserve credit for the way they responded following defeat, putting in a top all-round performance to comfortably defeat Zimbabwe and a repeat dose here would likely see them complete the comeback and force a series win, but whether they can replicate Tuesday’s showing remains to be seen.

Zimbabwe Betting Analysis

Whilst Sean Williams has managed to get himself in across each of the last two ODIs, on both occasions he failed to capitalised with the bat, scoring 23 and 31. He’ll back himself to put that right in this rubber match and 50-over cricket is his best format, as it allows Williams to play himself in, before picking up the pace. Consider a small stake on him to reach a half-century here.

Pakistan Betting Analysis

Pakistan opener Saim Ayub took apart Zimbabwe last time out, scoring 113 of his side’s 148 runs in an unbroken partnership for the first wicket with Abdullah Shafique. His knock included 17 fours and three maximums and such an innings will have proven huge for Ayub from a confidence perspective. Backing him to kick on and record another individual total of 30+ runs here has to be favoured.

Zimbabwe vs Pakistan Expert Prediction

Pakistan bared their teeth and showed their class on Tuesday, the real Pakistan stood up. Whilst they remain difficult to predict, it does fell like defeat in the first ODI lit a fire amid their squad and jolted them into life. Although Zimbabwe should improve, Pakistan remain clear favourites in this final ODI and should get the job done.
