Yoshihito Nishioka vs Carlos Alcaraz Prediction

Japan’s Yoshihito Nishioka came through his first-round match against Aziz Dougaz in four sets and was pushed harder than expected against the Tunisian qualifier.

The 29-year-old played in Brisbane and Adelaide but has not overly been at his best so he is going to have to find some form here as he faces Carlos Alcaraz.

The Mallorcan star eased to victory in the first round as he beat Alexander Shevchenko 6-1 7-5 6-1 and he dominated from start to finish. Alcaraz created an impressive 19 break points and took eight of them, and there was plenty of positivity around his performance.

Alcaraz played Nishioka once before in 2022 and he won 6-4 6-4, and there is little in Nishioka’s game that will concern Alcaraz. It would not overly be a surprise if Nishioka managed to take a set but we do not see it. Alcaraz should coast to victory here.
