The prediction

Two teams looking to bounce back from last round losses will clash on Sunday night when the Western Bulldogs take on the St Kilda Saints.

The Bulldogs collapsed against Brisbane last week giving up a big third quarter lead and eventually losing by 21 points. St Kilda also went down by 28 points to the Giants which snapped a 3-game winning streak of their own.

The Dogs look set to receive a major boost with inspirational skipper Marcus Bontempelli in line for his first appearance of the season. He has good recent history against St Kilda too, kicking three goals against them last year as does Aaron Naughton who booted six.

The Saints will again look to their big ball winners, headed by Jack Sinclair. He had 26 touches last week and chimed in with a goal as well. 

In their lone meeting last year, the Bulldogs won by ten goals and also carry a 7-game winning streak at Marvel stadium.

With the “Bont” back we like the Western Bulldogs to record a victory and get themselves back into the winners list.
