West Indies Form: Windies losing streak continues after being edged out

Batting first for the third straight game, West Indies set England a competitive target of 145/8, which they came very close to defending after taking constant wickets. In the end though, the lack of momentum that has stunted the Windies across this series perhaps came back to haunt them as they couldn’t see themselves over the line.

England Form: Four wins in a row for England as lower order sees them home

After two comprehensive victories, England will have been happy to come out of the right end of a much closer game in Gros Islet, beating the hosts by three wickets as they reached their 146-run target with four balls to spare, Jamie Overton and Rehan Ahmed seeing the side home after a crucial partnership from Sam Curran and Liam Livingstone.

West Indies Betting Analysis

The player who really gave West Indies the best chance of success in the last game was bowler Akeal Hosein. The slow-left-armer picked up four wickets for the loss of only 22 runs, recording an economy rate of just 5.50 across his four overs bowled. Whilst it may have been in a losing cause, Hosein looked excellent and his bowling was well-suited to the pitch in Gros Islet and that makes him well worth backing here to gain another 2+ wickets.

England Betting Analysis

Fast bowler Saqib Mahmood is enjoying somewhat of a renaissance in white ball cricket after having been blighted by injury over the past couple of years. He was a stand-out performer in the men’s Hundred final during the English summer and has maintained his good form overseas. He bagged another three wickets for himself in the third T20i between these two nations and it would be no surprise to see him in the wickets again this time around. Back the Lancashire pacer via the ‘Batter Total Match Wickets’ market to gain over 1.5 scalps again.

West Indies vs England Expert Prediction

England are finding ways to win from every situation at the moment, whether it be a close game or whether it be a blow out and West Indies simply haven’t had the answers. The tourists’ collection of bowlers has kept the big-hitting Windies batters shackled down, whilst at least one player has always stepped up for England when required. They have to be favoured when it comes to winning this fourth T20i of what has been a one-sided series so far.
