Less than 24 hours after their first game, West Indies and England are all set up to run it back here in Bridgetown, with the hosts looking to level things up after a comprehensive defeat on Saturday.

West Indies Form: Too many wickets cost Windies

West Indies will be bitterly disappointed with how their top order was taken down by the England bowlers, as constant wickets left the hosts scratching around and unable to really accelerate across the middle overs. Although the lower order helped ensure a respectable total of 182/9, it wasn’t going to be enough against a team of England’s class in T20 cricket, leaving West Indies now on the back foot with four games still to play.

Last Three: LLL

England Form: Salt smashes tourists ahead

In our England betting analysis of the first T20i, we recommended backing Phil Salt to score 20+ runs. But the opener went far better than that, crunching an unbeaten 103 from 54 balls which helped ensure a stress-free run chase for England. The tourists triumphed by eight wickets after reaching their victory total of 183 with 3.1 overs left to play.

Last Three: WWL

West Indies Betting Analysis

You’ll do well to find anyone in the world more programmed to hit 6s than Andre Russell and he was up to his usual boundary clearing exploits in the first T20i, smashing four 6s whilst batting at number seven, scoring 30 overall. The ‘Player to Score Most Match 6s’ market is tailor-made for bettors to capitalise on Russell’s main strength, so consider placing a small stake on the 36-year-old to clear the ropes more than any other player in the second T20i of this series.

England Betting Analysis

It would be remiss not to focus on Phil Salt following his masterful century the other day. Salt got on top of the West Indian bowlers and made them pay, smashing nine 4s and six 6s. Batting in the powerplay, Salt can take advantage of the field being largely up, giving him more opportunities to find the boundaries. Therefore, a shrewd move would be backing the in-form Salt to record over 2.5 total match fours in this next game.

West Indies vs England Expert Prediction

The three-match ODI series that proceeded these T20i games saw England lose the first ODI, before bouncing back with victory in the following fixture. West Indies are essentially looking to do just that in this T20i series and if they can keep more wickets in hand across their innings, they’ll stand a good chance of doing just that. Star batter Nicholas Pooran will be key though, having top-scored for the Windies last time out. Expect him to have a big say again this time around.

West Indies vs England Tip: Nicholas Pooran to score over 28.5 match runs
