WEST INDIES FORM: LEWIS PUTS ENGLAND TO THE SWORD
West Indies taught England a lesson in the opening game of this series, their seams complementing the spin of Gudakesh Motie and proving far too good for the tourists’ inexperienced batting line-up. Then Evin Lewis took over at the top of the order, blasting 94 as the Windies chased their victory total down with eight wickets remaining.

ENGLAND FORM: NUMEROUS NEW FACES STRUGGLE TO BED IN
The worry for England was always going to be their plethora of new white ball talent making the transition to international cricket at the same time. This ended up costing them in the first ODI with no batters able to capitalise on making starts, leading to an under-par score which the bowlers didn’t even come close to defending.
LAST THREE: LLW
WEST INDIES BETTING ANALYSIS
There are numerous players we could focus on from a betting point of view. Should the pitch look susceptible to turn, then Motie should come into his own with the ball and backing him to follow up his four-wicket-haul with over 1.5 match wickets in the second ODI is a move worth making. However, Lewis’ destructive display opening the batting cannot be ignored and bettors should explore backing him to accumulate another 30+ runs on this occasion.
ENGLAND BETTING ANALYSIS
One positive for England in the first match was Liam Livingstone’s individual performance, leading by example as the stand in captain. Livingstone top-scored with the bat for the tourists, scoring 48 from 49 balls, including two sixes. Striking those sixes really is Livingstone’s strong suit as a batter, what with his extraordinary power and backing him to add over 0.5 match sixes this time around is worth serious consideration.
WEST INDIES VS ENGLAND EXPERT PREDICTION
So far this series, West Indies just look an all-round stronger team than England in the 50-over format. The visitors are clearly missing certain experienced players and it’s difficult to expect so much from this younger crop still finding their way at this level. The Windies meanwhile, appear further ahead in their development and are well worth backing to double their series lead.
