Werder Bremen Team News: Kohn a doubt

Werder Bremen could be without Derrick Kohn for the visit of St. Pauli as the left-back faces a battle to recover in time from an ankle problem. Definitely still out is Veljkovic due to his calf injury.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Zetterer; Stark, Friedl, Pieper; Weiser, Stage, Lynen, Schmid, Agu; Burke, Silva

Questionable: Kohn (Injured)

St. Pauli are set to be without five players here, including Jackson Irvine, James Sands and Simon Zoller. Goalkeeper Sascha Berchert and versatile defender Karol Mets are also missing.

Predicted XI (3-4-3): Vasilj; Nemeth, Wahl, Van der Heyden; Saliakas, Boukhalfa, Smith, Treu; Saad, Guilavogui, Afolayan

Werder Bremen vs St. Pauli Prediction

Werder Bremen clearly haven’t given up on European football just yet and four straight victories is testament to that, bringing them up to eighth-place in the table with four games to play. St. Pauli though, are grinding out crucial points in their battle to avoid relegation, recently holding Bayer Leverkusen to a 1-1 draw at home.

Whatever the outcome here, the contest should be very tight and we are unlikely to see a large number of goals across the 90 minutes. Werder’s recent form cannot be ignored though, so a shrewd move may be to back them, but also under 2.5 goals.

Werder Bremen vs St. Pauli Tip: Werder Bremen to win and under 2.5 goals
