Wang was knocked down by Gabriella Fernandes and then submitted to suffer her first professional MMA defeat. The Chinese flyweight now looks to rebound quickly and she will look to get back to winning ways against Bruna Brasil at UFC 312.
Bruna Brasil: The Special One looking for back-to-back wins in UFC
Bruna Brasil (10-4-1) is coming off a solid unanimous decision victory over Molly McCann at UFC 304 and she will now look to win back-to-back fights in the UFC for the first time. After coming through Dana White’s Contender Series back in September 2022, Brasil has now won two and lost two, so she will be aiming to get the win here and go above .500 in the promotion.

Wang Cong and Bruna Brasil meet in the flyweight division and both will be eager to get the victory and move up the rankings.
Wang Cong is coming off her first loss but that will serve as a wake-up call for her. There is a concern that she is potentially returning a little too quickly here but she is raring to go.
Bruna Brasil has had a mixed time in the UFC so far as she has won two and lost two but her performances have not overly been inspiring.
She is going to have to raise her performance levels significantly if she is to beat Wang Cong but we have to favour the Chinese fighter. She has the better skillset and we expect her to win; likely via the judges’s scorecards.
