Wakefield Trinity team news: One Wakefield change

Head coach Daryl Powell has made a single change from the squad that beat Leigh Leopards last time out, with new signing Corey Hall back from injury and available to feature. He replaces Jake Trueman, who has a back problem and joins both Max Jowitt and Matthew Storton on the sidelines.

Squad: Lachlan Walmsley, Cameron Scott, Corey Hall, Tom Johnstone, Oliver Russell, Mike McMeeken, Liam Hood, Ky Rodwell, Josh Griffin, Jay Pitts, Caleb Hamlin-Uele, Renouf Atoni, Isaiah Vagana, Oliver Pratt, Mason Lino, Mathieu Cozza, Josh Rourke, Matty Russell, Jack Croft, Harvey Smith, Caius Faatili

Leigh Leopards team news: Two injury concerns

Adrian Lam is likely to be without Josh Charnley, despite the outside back being named in the squad for this match. Not named was Darnell Macintosh and he definitely misses out. In better news, prop forward Robbie Mulhern has recovered from injury and is back in the squad.

Squad: David Armstrong, Tesi Niu, Umyla Hanley, Josh Charnley, Gareth O’Brien, Lachlan Lam, Owen Trout, Edwin Ipape, Robbie Mulhern, Frankie Halton, Isaac Liu, Aaron Pene, Alec Tuitavake, Matt Davis, Brad Dwyer, Keanan Brand, Louis Brogan, Ethan O’Neill, Ben McNamara, Bailey Hodgson

Wakefield Trinity vs Leigh Leopards prediction

Leigh Leopards have been exposed from a defensive perspective across their last two games, shipping a whopping 70 points, including 40 at the hands of their opponents here in Wakefield Trinity. If they don’t rectify that, then an exit in the Challenge Cup will surely follow when taking into account how good Wakefield looked in Leigh this past Friday.

An improved display from the Leopards this time around will surely be on the cards and they can take heart from the fact that whilst Wakefield have been excellent on their travels this season, the home form has been more of a concern. Indeed, Wakefield are yet to win at their home ground this campaign, losing three times.

Expect a significantly closer encounter than what we saw last time these two sides locked horns and Leigh Leopards will surely be fired up for such a battle. When considering Wakefield’s home struggles, value can be found here in backing a Leopards victory.
