Veronika Kudermetova vs Polina Kudermetova prediction
Veronika Kudermetova showed some promise in Stuttgart, breezing through both her qualifying rounds and taking the first set against eighth seed Diana Shnaider. Unfortunately, she could not maintain her level in the first-round, eventually losing 7-5 2-6 3-6. She went a stage further in Charleston in her first clay court event of the year, but still comfortably lost to Amanda Anisimova.
Her sister Polina Kudermetova has not played since Charleston, which saw her win in the first-round against Irina-Camelia Begu but then come unstuck against Shnaider. Neither two players have been able to create any kind of momentum to start the clay court season, though Veronika does have more matches under her belt having competed in an extra tournament.
There really is not much separating these two, with just two places separating Veronika in 52nd and Polina in 54th when it comes to the world rankings. We think it will be a closely fought match between them both.
Veronika Kudermetova vs Polina Kudermetova tip: Both players to win a set
