Veronika Kudermetova vs Diana Shnaider prediction

Diana Shnaider is still waiting for her year to ignite as a place in the top 10 remains elusive for now. 

The 21-year-old Russian finished off a stellar 2024 with the title in Hong Kong and rose to a career-high of 12 in the world. 

However, she’s made just one quarter-final this season and three defeats in four outings made it an American hardcourt swing to forget.

Her first attempt on clay saw her reach the round of 16 in Charleston last time out and it was a similar story for opponent Kudermetova, who won one and lost one at the tournament. 

The former world number nine moved back to the brink of the top 50 with a surge to the round of 16 at the Australian Open but has not mustered much beyond that. 

Shnaider won their only other meeting in straight sets on the clay in Charleston two years ago and we are backing the youngster to repeat that in Stuttgart.
