Venezuela vs Peru Prediction

Venezuela performed well at last summer’s 2024 CONMEBOL Copa America but have since regressed again as they sit outside of the top seven. They take on a Peruvian side that most recently pulled off an impressive victory in Lima the other day.

The Venezuelans come into this one on the back of a 2-1 loss to Ecuador in Quito the other day in a game in which they went 2-0 down due to an Enner Valencia brace before Jhoanner Cadiz notched a late consolation goal in second-half stoppage-time. Venezuela are now winless in their last nine matches since making the quarter-finals of the CONMEBOL Copa America.

They now take on a Peru side that, with Oscar Ibanez now at the helm having taken charge this year, that have given themselves renewed hope of a top seven finish with La Blanquirroja most recently defeating Bolivia by three goals to one at Estadio Nacional de Lima on Friday thanks to strikes from Andy Polo, Paolo Guerrero and Edison Flores.

Venezuela have struggled for any sort of form of late and Peru, now with renewed hope and vigour under Oscar Ibanez, will fancy their chances of getting another result in Caracas.

Venezuela vs Peru Tip: Double chance – Peru to win or draw
