Venezuela Preview: Six without a win
After a strong start to their CONMEBOL campaign, Venezuela have now gone six qualifiers without a win, most recently losing 2-1 at Paraguay last month after initially going ahead in that contest.
Fernando Batista’s men, who are one place below the inter-confederation play-off spot heading into this round of fixtures, did in fact hold Brazil to a draw in the reverse fixture last October. However, their last win over the Selecao came in a friendly encounter back in 2008.
Brazil Preview: Back on track?
Back-to-back wins in qualifying last month significantly improved Brazil’s footing in the CONMEBOL qualifying table after something of a disastrous start for the World Cup ever-presents. They are currently fourth in the standings, and will look to solidify their qualification aims in this November double-header.
The victories over Chile and Peru last month certainly helped his cause, but head coach Dorival Junior still has a lot of work to do if he is to convince the Brazilians fans and pundits that he is the right fit for the job, despite the fact he has lost just once (in normal time) during his tenure.

Venezuela vs Brazil Prediction
Brazil’s World Cup qualifying campaign is back on track after a pair of wins in October and there is a better feeling around the camp now, but that could all be undone if they fail to defeat a Venezuela side who cannot match the Selecao’s talent in all areas of the pitch.
Venezuela are actually unbeaten in their five home games during qualifying, with their last three all ending in low-scoring draws, so if Brazil are to win, don’t be surprised if it is by a slim margin.
Venezuela vs Brazil Tip: Brazil to win & under 2.5 goals
