Vanessa Demopoulos vs Talita Alencar Prediction
Both Vanessa Demopoulos and Talita Alencar are coming off defeats in their last bouts in the Octagon so the strawweights too will be desperate to bounce back to winning ways at The Apex on Saturday night.
Demopoulos was submitted by Jacqueline Amorim last September which was only her second defeat and her last seven fights. She had great momentum behind her prior to that and will now be looking to get back on track to rise up the strawweight division rankings.
Talita Alencar is in a very similar position having lost a unanimous decision to Stephanie Luciano last time and that was the first defeat she has suffered in her professional MMA career.
She had earned her shot in the UFC via Dana White’s Contender Series when she drew against Luciano and then won on her Octagon debut as she edged a split-decision win over Rayanne dos Santos.
Alencar has had a relatively short MMA career so far while Demopoulos has a much longer career and has been in with some decent fighters. We think that experience could just make the difference here and we lean towards her with the greater body of work on her resume.
Prediction: Vanessa Demopoulos to win
