Valentin Vacherot vs Damir Dzumhur prediction

Valentin Vacherot has shown a decent run of form during the beginning of the European clay court swing, advancing through the qualifiers of the Murcia Open before losing a closely fought three-set match in the second round to eventual finalist Jesper De Jong and then springing a major shock in qualifying for this event with a win over number one seed Nikoloz Basilashvili.

Damir Dzumhur recently showed his quality after beating Jakub Mensik on his way to making the final of the Cap Cana Challenger, where he was defeated by Aleksander Kovacevic. Mensik would go on to win the Miami Open just two weeks later. 

The Bosnian made a fine transition to clay for the Zadar Challenger, with three straight victories before having to retire during his semi-final against Borna Coric. Nevertheless, Dzumhur has still declared himself fit for this event and we believe the much higher ranked player will have enough in his armoury to defeat Vacherot and make it through to the next round.
