USA vs Germany Prediction
For USA, the goal is simple. Only a seventh World Junior Championship would be considered a success and who can blame them when you see the plethora of young NHL talent and proven stars within college ice hockey within their roster. Among the most notable names is James Hagens of Boston College, the current projected number one pick in the 2025 NHL entry draft. There’s also Zeev Buium (Minnesota Wild), Cole Eiserman (New York Islanders), Trevor Connelly (Vegas Golden Knights) and Ryan Leonard (Washington Capitals), all of whom were top 20 NHL entry draft picks.
Germany finished bottom of their group in 2024, losing three of their four games and averaging five goals conceded per match. They are expected be outclassed by USA in this encounter and any outcome other than a comprehensive victory for the United States would be a big shock.
