Tottenham Preview: Daring Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur have played 28 matches across all competitions so far this season and there has, remarkably, been 100 goals in those 28 games. Their form, albeit exciting, has been underwhelming in terms of results as they sit in the bottom-half of the Premier League.
Spurs come into this one on the back of conceding a late Jorgen Strand Larsen goal to end up sharing a 2-2 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last week. They have won one of their last seven matches in the league.
Newcastle Preview: In-form Geordies
Eddie Howe may have perhaps felt a bit of pressure about a month and a half or so ago but Newcastle United have very much turned things around over the festive period with good form in the league being supported by progression into the semi-finals of the EFL Cup.
The Magpies come into this one on the back of a comfortable 2-0 defeat of Manchester United at Old Trafford last week thanks to goals from Alexander Isak and Joelinton. That means they have now enjoyed five wins in a row across all competitions, scoring 16 goals in the process.
Tottenham Team News: Udogie injury
It has now been confirmed that Italy international left-back Destiny Udogie will miss around six weeks due to a hamstring injury. Rodrigo Bentancur has picked up another suspension, too, with Spurs dealing with several absentees across the pitch and, most notably, defensively. Postecoglou has also said a few have missed training due to a sickness bug this week but didn't confirm which players are doubts.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Forster; Spence, Dragusin, Gray, Porro; Bissouma, Sarr; Kulusevski, Maddison, Son; Solanke
Unavailable: Vicario (Injured), Romero (Injured), Van de Ven (Injured), Davies (Injured), Udogie (Injured), Bentancur (Suspended), Odobert (Injured), Richarlison (Injured)

Newcastle Team News: Botman returns
In his pre-match press conference, Eddie Howe said there were 'no new issues' ahead of this weekend, which means Kieran Trippier is expected to be available. They remain without goalkeeper Nick Pope and defender Fabian Schar is now suspended but Sven Botman is ready to return to the first-team.
Predicted XI (4-3-3): Dubravka; Trippier, Kelly, Burn, Hall; Guimaraes, Tonali, Joelinton; Murphy, Isak, Gordon
Unavailable: Pope (Injured), Schar (Suspended), Lascelles (Injured), Krafth (Injured), Wilson (Injured)

Tottenham vs Newcastle Prediction
Tottenham Hotspur, as mentioned, have been the entertainers of the Premier League this season and with so many injury issues, it seems unlikely they’ll be able to put the brakes on – not that they would want to anyway as that is the ‘way they play’ according to Postecoglou. They now face a Newcastle United side that are in form and will probably have been frustrated to have only ran in two early goals against Manchester United last weekend. An away win seems a good value bet for what could well be a high-scoring affair in north London this weekend.
