Tottenham Preview: Topsy-turvy Spurs

Inconsistency is Tottenham's main problem right now as they have struggled to string together a run of wins in the Premier League, with their last five games in the division alternating between a win and a loss.

They delivered an excellent attacking display in the second half against Aston Villa last weekend, scoring four goals to put the game beyond their opponents, but then followed that with a 3-2 defeat against Galatasaray in the Europa League on Thursday.

Ipswich Preview: Win still eludes them

Ten-man Ipswich suffered late heartbreak for the second game in a row last weekend, Kieran McKenna's side conceding a 94th-minute equaliser to fellow relegated outfit Leicester at Portman Road, after Leif Davis' well-taken volley had earlier given the hosts the advantage.

The Tractor Boys are still searching for their first Premier League win, and sit in the relegation zone having lost five of their ten games to date, drawing the others.

Tottenham Team News: Romero touch & go

Micky van de Ven, Mikey Moore, Richarlison and Wilson Odobert will definitely miss out this weekend, and are likely to be joined by Timo Werner, although Ange Postecoglou stopped short of ruling the German out completely.

Cristian Romero missed Thursday's Europa League but will be given every opportunity to prove his fitness with Spurs looking light when it comes to centre-back options.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Dragusin, Udogie; Kulusevski, Bentancur, Sarr; Johnson, Solanke, Son

Unavailable: Van de Ven (Injured), Moore (Illness), Richarlison (Injured), Odobert (Injured)

Questionable: Romero (Injured), Spence (Injured), Werner (Injured)

Ipswich Team News: Phillips suspended

Kalvin Phillips must serve a one-match suspension for his dismissal against Leicester and is likely to be replaced in midfield by Jens Cajuste. Harry Clarke, meanwhile, is available after completing his own ban and could return to right-back at the expense of Ben Johnson.

Axel Taunzebe, Jacob Greaves and Jack Taylor could return after the international break.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Muric; Clarke, O'Shea, Burgess, Davis; Morsy, Cajuste; Hutchinson, Chaplin, Szmodics; Delap

Unavailable: Tuanzebe (Injured), Greaves (Injured), Phillips (Suspended), Taylor (Injured), Ogbene (Injured)

Questionable: Donacien (Injured)

Tottenham vs Ipswich Prediction

At home against a promoted side, this is a perfect opportunity for Spurs to string back-to-back Premier League wins together for only the second time this season, and with no side having scored more league goals than Postecoglou's men heading into the weekend, it is hard to see the visitors containing them.

After a stuttering start to his Spurs career, Dominic Solanke is looking the part now with three goals in his last two appearances in all competitions, and we're backing the striker to continue in the same vein on Sunday.

Tottenham vs Ipswich Tip: Dominic Solanke to score anytime
