Torino earned themselves a much-needed victory last weekend as they now take on a Bologna side that are, very quietly, once again punching above their weight in Serie A so far this season.

Torino Preview: Much-needed win

Following his appointment over the summer after gaining promotion with Venezia last season, Paolo Vanoli had started the season steadily but Torino have since struggled as they sit firmly in the middle-of-the-table but they now come into this one on the back of a much-needed win.

The home team come into this one on the back of a slender 1-0 defeat of Empoli at Stadio Carlo Castellani in Florence in their most recent outing last weekend. Scotland international Che Adams scored from close to the half-way line to steal all three points in that mid-table clash.

Bologna Preview: Impressive Italiano

Thiago Motta led Bologna to fifth last season and that was seen as a major overachievement so with his departure as well as the sales of other key players, Bologna have been even more impressive in many ways to launch another assault on the UEFA competition spots.

They most recently defeated Vincenzo Italiano’s former side title challenging Fiorentina by a goal to nil last weekend at the Renato Dall’Ara by a goal to nil thanks to a 59th minute winning strike from Jens Odgaard.

Torino Team News: Duvan Zapata injury

Duvan Zapata formed a good partnership with the aforementioned Adams at the start of this season but the Colombia international, like Perr Schuurs, is dealing with an ACL injury. Centre-back Saul Coco is missing through suspension for this weekend, too.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Milinkovic-Savic; Walukiewicz, Guillermo Maripan, Masina; Pedersen, Ricci, Linetty, Gineitis, Sosa; Adams, Tonny Sanabria

Unavailable: Schuurs (Injured), Saul Coco (Suspended), Duvan Zapata (Injured)

Questionable: Vojvoda (Injured)

Bologna Team News: A few injuries

Bologna are dealing with a few key injury concerns for this weekend’s trip to Turin as attacking duo Riccardo Orsolini and Nicolo Cambiaghi both sidelined alongside long-term absentee Switzerland international midfielder Michel Aebischer.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Skorupski; De Silvestri, Beukema, Jhon Lucumi, Holm; Freuler, Pobega; Ndoye, Odgaard, Brian Dominguez; Castro

Unavailable: El Azzouzi (Injured), Aebischer (Injured), Orsolini (Injured), Cambiaghi (Injured)

Questionable: Juan Miranda (Injured), Ndoye (Injured)

Torino vs Bologna Prediction

Torino were dull to watch last season with just 72 goals coming in their 38 matches and that was a key reason for the change in management over the summer. They had started the season scoring goals at a decent rate but have struggled to create chances let alone goals of late. They now face a Bologna side that have suffered just two defeats in 15 matches in Serie A and they are in good form, difficult to beat so a double chance bet in favour of Bologna looks the way to go for this one.

Torino vs Bologna Tip: Double chance – Bologna to win or draw
