Tommy Paul vs Jenson Brooksby prediction

Tommy Paul reached his third semi-final of the year with a convincing 6-1 7-6 victory over Colton Smith.

The more experienced American outgunned his good friend in almost every department to give him a chance of making it third time lucky in reaching a final in 2025 after losing in the last four in Adelaide and Dallas.

The world number 13 won 92% of points on his first serve and was deadly in converting all three of his break points.

Paul will now meet Jenson Brooksby in the last four after the world number 507 came from a set down for a third time this week to vanquish compatriot Aleksandar Kovacevic 2-6 6-3 6-4.

Brooksby edged a very tight two-hour and 20-minute affair with Kovacevic’s unforced error count spiralling up to a leaky 45 and ultimately proving to be the difference in an otherwise statistically equal match.

The 24-year-old will now take on Paul for the first time on clay and the fourth time overall, with the top seed winning all three of their previous encounters.

The pair met in Dallas earlier this year with Paul hitting back from a set down to win in three. This one may well follow a similar pattern, but we see the higher ranked American coming good to reach the final to halt Brooksby’s superb run.
