Timothy Cuamba vs Roberto Romero prediction
Twilight Timmy Cuamba (8-3) comes into this fight in desperate need of his first win in the UFC at his third attempt. After earning his shot in the promotion thanks to five successive wins including one in Dana White’s Contender Series, Cuamba has seen two decisions go against him. After taking stock and taking ten months out, Cuamba will be hoping that will serve him well as he returns to action.
He takes on Roberto Romero (8-4-1) who lost on his UFC debut last time at UFC 309 to David Onama. The Mexican was part of Combate Global before earning his shot in the big time but he will now be eager to get a win and prove he belongs in the UFC.
There is little to choose between these two fighters and while Romero appears that fraction more well-rounded, it is not enough to side with him here. Over half of both fighters’ records have seen them go to the scorecards and that is our play here that we go the distance. With plenty of pressure on both, we can see this one going to the final bell.
Prediction: Fight to go the distance
