Thiago Moisés: 26-fight Brazilian veteran aiming to get back on winning trail
Thiago Moises (18-8) is coming off a unanimous decision loss at the hands of Ludovit Klein in June last year. The 29-year-old had won three of his previous four fights and the one bout he had lost was a Fight of the Night thriller with Benoit Saint-Denis. The well-rounded Brazilian will now look to get back on track as he faces Trey Ogden at the Apex.
Trey Ogden: Shamurai looking to make it three wins in a row
Trey Ogden (18-6 with one no contest) is seeking to follow up on unanimous decision wins over Kurt Holobaugh and Loik Radzhabov. The American has seen 11 of his 18 wins come by submission with the other seven via the judges and as he fights higher-calibre opponents, he is seemingly less likely to get stoppages. He does however possess a really good wrestling base along with excellent stamina which is key to his success.
Thiago Moisés vs Trey Ogden Prediction
Thiago Moises and Trey Ogden battle it out in the lightweight division and this is a really good fight between two experienced campaigners.
Moises is slightly more well-rounded than Ogden with the knockout power that he possesses but Ogden is incredibly effective in finding ways to win.
This could very well be something of a stalemate that goes the distance as while it may be fast and frenetic, it is hard to see either fighter really grabbing control. We have a marginal preference for Moises with his CV just containing more quality on it than Ogden’s but our vote is for this one to go the distance.
Prediction: Thiago Moises to win / Fight to go the distance
