THIAGO SEYBOTH WILD VS TOMAS MARTIN ETCHEVERRY PREDICTION
24-year-old Thiago Seyboth Wild brought a career-high ATP world ranking of 58th into the Lyon Open after enjoying his best, most consistent yet on tour but recent performances have been sub-par.
The Brazilian lost to Emil Ruusuvuori early in the Turin Challenger last week to back-up a drab defeat to Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the second round of the Italian Open and this rematch looks like the Argentine’s to lose despite Seyboth Wild’s strong opener over Pedro Martinez.
World number 29 Etcheverry came back from a set down to beat qualifier Nikolas Izquierdo but he should be better for an early scare in Lyon. The Argentine, also 24, beat Seyboth Wild in straight sets in Rome with his more typical industry but he has also looked a little underpowered since a deep run to the semi-finals in Barcelona last month. Back Etcheverry to win at least a set to leave the victor up to chance.
