TAYLOR FRITZ VS ARTHUR FILS PREDICTION
It has been an impressive 2024 for Taylor Fritz so far and he will be keen to continue his strong run of form. He comes off a strong Laver Cup performance where he picked up two wins from this three matches and that was following his run to the final of the US Open. He won this event back in 2022 beating Frances Tiafoe in the final so he will have good memories in Toyko.
He meets Arthur Fils and the 20-year-old Frenchman has just slowed down a little after a period of six weeks in the summer months where he was in excellent form. His most recent matches came in the Davis Cup where he lost two of his three matches and he only managed to get through one round in the US Open before losing to Gabriel Diallo.
He just looks like he has run out of a little steam after a long but unquestionably his best year to date. Fritz has to be favoured to win here and move into the next round.
