STEFANOS TSITSIPAS VS BOTIC VAN DE ZANDSCHULP PREDICTION
Stefanos Tsitsipas picked up a morale-boosting win over Francisco Cerundolo in the first round and the Greek will now look to build on that in Basel. It took him three sets but he had to graft through it and he showed good character in the final set tiebreak win.
For all his struggles in the summer and autumn, Tsitsipas remains highly capable and it feels like a matter of time until it clicks once again for him.
That could very well come in Basel this week. He meets Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp who will be no pushover, but is beatable.
Van de Zandschulp has pulled off some superb results in recent months including that memorable victory over Carlos Alcaraz at the US Open. He has not however done much in recent weeks and while he will relish the role of spoiler, Tsitsipas should have the game to beat him and move into the quarter-finals.
