THE PREDICTION
37-year-old John Isner claimed the win of his season with a three-set stunner over Hubert Hurkacz, with whom he won the Miami Open doubles back in March. The big-serving veteran has so far played true to form with back-to-back three-setters over Hurkacz and Benjamin Bonzi with two tiebreaks in each and those options are always a viable alternative to picking a result in his matches. World number 52 Sebastian Korda is significantly less predictable than Isner as he blew off some recent poor form to beat Frances Tiafoe from a set down, his first win over the 24-year-old at the fourth time of asking. The 22-year-old is incredibly hard to predict as a player with a high ceiling with some unexplainable losses behind him but he has beaten Isner in both of their previous meetings at Roland-Garros in 2020 and Delray Beach last season. Both occasions saw sets go both ways, so perhaps taking three sets is a viable option here. You could consider adding at least a tiebreak with Isner on court.
