SARA SORRIBES TORMO VS MAYAR SHERIF PREDICTION
World number 46 Sara Sorribes Tormo overcame Nadia Podoroska in three sets on Tuesday to maintain a steady course at the Rabat Open but this will be a tougher test against in-form Mayar Sherif.
World number 66 Sherif is yet to drop a set this week to build on some excellent recent results on clay, with last weekend’s defeat in the Parma Challenger final a surprise after stunning the likes of Jasmine Paolini and Marta Kostyuk in recent weeks.
It is difficult to split these two given Sorribes Tormo has required the likes of Iga Swiatek and Jelena Ostapenko to oust her from her last two tournaments, including an excellent run to the last 16 in Madrid, but back Sherif to earn at least a set with the better recent momentum behind her – as well as the majority support here as a North African in Morocco.
