THE PREDICTION

World number 11 Hubert Hurkacz looks ever more like sneaking last-minute into the ATP Finals later this month after Taylor Fritz was forced to withdraw from the Paris Masters. 26-year-old Hurkacz beat Sebastian Korda in three tight sets on Tuesday to bounce back straight away from finishing runner-up to Felix Auger-Aliassime at the Swiss Indoors on Sunday and he has been unrecognisable from his early season demeanour in recent weeks, with a second Masters title claimed in Shanghai coming via a mammoth victory over Andrey Rublev. World number 66 Roberto Bautista Agut missed much of the summer through injury after some poor form this season but he should not be underestimated here with a 3-1 lead over Hurkacz in their head-to-head. The former world number nine upset Jiri Lehecka in straight sets on Monday to suggest he is on the way back up and he is a player well capable of maintaining his positive records.

Each of the last three matches between the two have seen three sets and all four of their meetings have seen at least one tiebreak. Consider a one-off combination on Hubert Hurkacz to win a match with three sets and at least one tiebreak but otherwise back the Pole to edge through with over 0.5 tiebreaks in the match.

BETTING TIP: Hubert Hurkacz to win and over 0.5 tiebreaks.
