27-year-old Jaume Munar moved back inside the top 70 on tour after finishing runner-up to Alejandro Tabilo at the Aix-Provence Challenger on Sunday, beating some tough opposition in Marcos Giron, Tomas Martin Etcheverry and Roman Safiullin. The gutsy Spaniard should be able to roll through to the second round on his momentum in this first encounter with world number 79 Rinky Hijikata, who has struggled to make a dent on the Challenger circuit in recent weeks after dropping down for some experience on this surface. 23-year-old Hijikata proved himself one to watch for the future after a run to the round of 16 at the US Open last summer but back Munar to enjoy the conditions more here for an outright win.
