QINWEN ZHENG VS KAROLINA MUCHOVA PREDICTION
Top seed Qinwen Zheng has been in impeccable form this week in Italy having powered her way into the final by winning all four of her matches in straight sets. The Chinese 21-year-old has not been phased by the expectation on her and the world number seven will be eager to see it through and get the victory on Sunday in the final.
She meets Karolina Muchova who is working her way back up the rankings after a spell out of action with injuries in 2022 and 2023. She saved her best tennis of the week so far for her semi-final as she hammered Irina-Camelia Begu 6-1 6-1 and that will give her huge confidence coming into this final.
On top of that, Muchova won the only previous meeting between the two back in 2022 in Madrid so there is plenty in favour of the Czech player in this match. However, it would be too easy to ignore the high level which Zheng has been playing all week and she is marginally favoured to edge this final. That all being said, over 2.5 sets is our preference in the betting.
