NOVAK DJOKOVIC VS TAYLOR FRITZ PREDICTION

Novak Djokovic came through a tough test against talented youngster Jakub Mensik on Friday as he fought back from a set down to win 6-7 6-1 6-4. It was not comfortable for Djokovic but after he broke him early in the second, it was one-way traffic from there.

The legendary Serb will know that he has a golden chance to grab some key ranking points here and he now faces Taylor Fritz in the semi-finals.

The pair have met nine previous times and remarkably Djokovic has won all nine times. In 29 sets played between the two, Fritz has won three in total across the nine matches such has been Djokovic’s dominance.

Fritz has been playing well this week but so much around his play is psychological. In theory, he has not lost a single set in Shanghai so he should be flying with confidence but the reality is that their previous meetings is more like to weigh heavily on his mind.

We simply have to favour Novak here. He has beaten some form players this week already and against a player where he has enjoyed such dominance, there is no reason to believe that will not continue here.
