MATTIA BELLUCCI VS BEN SHELTON PREDICTION

This clash sees 23-year-old Mattia Bellucci face 21-year-old Ben Shelton and it is the latter who is favoured to get the win. This is the American’s second full year on the ATP Tour and he will be looking to follow up his stunning 2023 campaign which saw him reach the semis of the US Open and quarters in Australia. He only reached the second round last year and grass is not exactly a surface he has found easy so far. His disappointing performances in the last couple of weeks will serve to remind him that he cannot rest on his laurels against anybody on grass and that includes Bellucci.

Bellucci had to come through the qualifiers last week and he did so in style beating Daniel Goffin on Thursday to seal his spot. The left-hander clearly his good potential and while he may not have grabbed the headlines like Shelton in recent times, he should not be underestimated. He has more experience on grass than Shelton and he can pose plenty of problems to the American. Shelton has to be favoured but game betting may be the way forward here and expect it to be competitive.
