MATTEO BERRETTINI VS MARTON FUCSOVICS PREDICTION

It has been an incredibly difficult last 18 months for Italian Matteo Berrettini but there are some positive signs for the 28-year-old coming into Wimbledon this year. At the start of April he won his first title in Marrakech since 2022 and he will be particularly confident following his run to the final on grass in Stuttgart before losing to Jack Draper. Berrettini reached the final in 2021 and he will hopes of going far in a relatively open men’s tournament this year.

Fucsovics will have something to say about all the talk around Berrettini however and he won their only previous meeting on the ATP Tour back in 2019. The Hungarian reached the quarter-finals back in 2021 and has good pedigree on grass with his impressive slice. His form of late however does not overly convince and over the best of five sets, it is hard to see anything other than Berrettini getting the win and progressing.
