MARIE BOUZKOVA VS PAULA BADOSA PREDICTION

Marie Bouzkova has enjoyed an exceptional week and while she did not face a particularly high level of quality in the early rounds, her win over Aryna Sabalenka on Saturday night in the semi-final was her standout performance. Bouzkova benefitted from the lengthy weather delay which clearly disrupted Sabalenka. Her opponent was dominating after just winning the second set before a three and a half hour delay held play up. Bouzkova was the one who found her form quickest on the resumption and claimed an excellent win. Big credit to her but Sabalenka’s crazy number of unforced errors ultimately decided this match.

Paula Badosa on the other hand had a smooth semi-final as she won in straight sets over Caroline Dolehide. Her match was first on court and was uninterrupted so she has had much more time to prepare for this final. She has been a class above this week and is showing something close to her best form that saw her reach number two in the world just a couple of years ago before a series of injuries.

Badosa has to be favoured for so many reasons and the very fact she has won both of their previous meetings in straight sets only heightens that. Expect her to do the same here with her class shining through.

MARIE BOUZKOVA VS PAULA BADOSA TIP: PAULA BADOSA TO WIN 2-0
