World number 84 Schmiedlova needed three sets to beat an out-of-form Rebecca Peterson on Tuesday but it was the Slovak’s first ever win at Wimbledon at the seventh time of asking and that should give her a boost here. Frech has been in some arduous matches lately and backing her to win this outright, probably in three, seems reasonable.
