MAGDA LINETTE VS MAGDALENA FRECH PREDICTION
It is an all-Polish final in Prague as fourth seed Magda Linette meets her compatriot and sixth seed Magdalena Frech for the title. Both players have come through tough matches to reach to the final and Linette especially has had a difficult run including her semi-final against top seed Linda Noskova. She came through that match in three sets and it was arguably her 74% win percentage on first serve that made the difference.
Frech will pose her a really tough test however and the 26-year-old has the upper hand having won their only previous meeting on the WTA Tour. That came back in 2022 at the quarter-finals in Saint Malo in what was a very competitive three-set encounter. It will however give her plenty of confidence despite Linette being the higher-ranked played.
There really is little to choose between the two and even more so on this week’s performances. This is a match that could easily go either way and the preference here is on it going to three sets.
