World number 30 Lorenzo Musetti is proving some doubters wrong on hardcourts in recent weeks, with a straight-sets victory over in-form Jan-Lennard Struff an impressive one on Friday. The Italian is a force to be reckoned with on clay already, on which he claimed his maiden ATP title at the Hamburg Open with an incredible shock win over Carlos Alcaraz. 26-year-old Marc-Andrea Huesler is one of the more surprising stories of the latter half of this season though as he makes the second ATP semi-final of his career within a month of his first. The Swiss will set a new career-high ATP world ranking of around 84th no matter the outcome here after stunning Pablo Carreno Busta in the round of 16 and coming back from a set down to take out Kamil Majchrzak on Friday. Huesler got this far at Winston-Salem this time last month before slipping up against Laslo Djere but he faces another strong chance at making a first final. Musetti should be able to come through this first meeting unscathed but backing the Swiss to earn at least a set looks the valuable and possibly shrewd move here.
