Top seed Lorenzo Musetti came through a tough battle against veteran Frenchman Adrian Mannarino on Sunday as he ground out a three-setter to progress to the semi-finals.
He now faces revelation Alibek Kachmazov who continues to impress in Chengdu. His latest victory saw him ease to a straight sets win over Chilean Nicolas Jarry and his confidence is growing by the win.
Having come through the qualifiers, it is quite a run for Kachmazov but this is comfortably the toughest test he will have faced. Musetti is not at his best but he should still have far too much all-round quality for him and we expect a straight sets victory for the top seed.
