THE PREDICTION
World number 12 Stefanos Tsitsipas won back-to-back titles in Monte-Carlo in 2021 and 2022 but he brings some troubling form into the draw. The 25-year-old lost in straight sets to Taylor Fritz in the quarter-finals here last season to snap an impressive winning streak at this iconic event and he will be desperate to bounce back as he seeks a first decent run of the season, with a semi-final exit at the Paris Masters in November his last strong campaign. World number 34 Laslo Djere has lost each of his three tour-level matches to Tsitsipas in straight sets but the Serb is a talented clay specialist who will know this is his best opportunity yet at an upset. The 28-year-old has taken Tsitsipas to at least one tiebreak in each of their previous matches so consider backing the Greek to earn at least a set with over 0.5 tiebreaks to avoid a tricky call.
TIP: STEFANOS TSITSIPAS TO WIN A SET (AND OVER 0.5 TIEBREAKS)
