KATERINA SINIAKOVA VS CHLOE PAQUET PREDICTION
World number 33 Katerina Siniakova beat Dalma Galfi in tight straight sets on Sunday to make a solid start at Roland-Garros. The 28-year-old is one of the streakier players on tour but an all-court threat at her best, with victory at the Lleida Challenger earlier this month and recent exits to top 30 players suggesting she can play to her seeding of 32nd this week.
World number 136 Chloe Paquet enjoyed a comfortable opener over an in-form but clearly injury-hampered Diana Shnaider on Sunday. The 29-year-old wildcard will be well-backed by partisan home support on Wednesday, particularly as French players are dropping like flies from the draw, but Siniakova beat her in straight sets in their only previous tour-level encounter and she can be backed to do so again here.
