KAREN KHACHANOV VS FRANCISCO CERUNDOLO PREDICTION

This is the sixth time that Karen Khachanov and Francisco Cerundolo have met in the last two years and Cerundolo will be hoping it proves sixth time lucky. He has lost all five previous meetings, three of which came on hard courts with the other two on clay. Khachanov seemingly has the beating of him regardless of the surface.

Khachanov’s form has not been great in recent weeks so this is arguably just the matchup he will have wanted to have seen when the draw was made. He has at least been in North America for a couple of weeks participating on hard counts, unlike Cerundolo.

The 25-year-old Argentine had only played clay in recent weeks and that combined with his record against Khachanov, makes it hard to see how he can reverse this shocking run against Khachanov.
