JORDAN THOMPSON VS LORENZO MUSETTI PREDICTION
After a walkover victory over Andy Murray in the round of 16, Jordan Thompson delivered an excellent display to oust fourth seed Taylor Fritz in Friday’s quarter-final, progressing in straight sets to reach the last four at an ATP 500 event for the first time in his career.
Lorenzo Musetti ended the hopes of British wildcard entry Billy Harris in the quarter-final stage, prevailing 6-3, 7-5 after having previously taken the scalp of second seed Aled De Minaur in the first round.
This run has been a much-needed boost for Thompson who, prior to Queen’s, had not tasted victory on tour since April. This is, however, his third tour-level final this season and the confidence is clearly growing through him. His game is arguably more suited to grass than that of Musetti, and his win over Fritz should give him plenty of belief that he can go on and reach the final.
