JORDAN THOMPSON VS JACK DRAPER PREDICTION
Jordan Thompson has been in good form in recent weeks having made the semi at Queen’s, was runner-up at the Atlanta Open and then the quarters at the Citi Open last week losing to eventual winner Sebastian Korda, so he will be confident coming into this event. The 30-year-old Australian is currently ranked 30 in the world and has hit his highest ever ranking in 2024 so he will be keen to maintain this fine run he is on.
He meets 22-year-old Brit Jack Draper who he has never faced before. Draper reached the quarter-finals back in 2022 in this very event and he has a reasonable record on hard courts. He just seems to have lost a little momentum in recent weeks and that makes it hard to have much confidence in him at present. He certainly has the quality to defeat Thompson but it is the Australian with all the momentum coming into this one and he certainly would be the value pick in this one. Draper is the big favourite but our preference is on over 2.5 sets with this going all the way.
