JANNIK SINNER VS TOMAS MACHAC PREDICTION
Jannik Sinner means business in Shanghai and he comes off another highly impressive win; this time over Daniil Medvedev in straight sets. The defeat in the China Open final to Carlos Alcaraz which ended his long winning run, seems to have only served to refocus him further.
While Medvedev was far from his best winning just 23% on his second serve, Sinner was excellent firing down nine aces and dominating in all areas.
Sinner now meets revelation Tomas Machac whose confidence is sky high after a stunning straight-sets win over Carlos Alcaraz on Thursday. The 23-year-old Czech is playing some great tennis and he did in the win over Tommy Paul in the previous round too.
The pair met in Miami earlier this year and Sinner eased to a 6-4 6-2 victory. It may not be so easy this time around given how Machac is playing but we still expect Sinner to win. Unless Machac can play another near-perfect match, it is hard to see him beating Sinner.
