JANNIK SINNER VS TARO DANIEL PREDICTION

World number one Jannik Sinner’s incredibly winning streak came to an end against Carlos Alcaraz in the final of the China Open earlier this week but the Italian will not be too down after the thrilling final. The match could easily have gone either way and it was Alcaraz who just edged the third-set tiebreak.

Sinner now goes straight into the Shanghai Masters and he will be keen to maintain this impressive run of form. He faces Japan’s Taro Daniel who he has met once before and beat him in four sets at the Australian Open back in 2022.

Daniel will be pleased with his first round performance against Egor Gerasimov where he fought back from a set down to win 6-7 6-3 6-4. His win percentages on both first serve (77%) and second (83%) were outstanding and he thoroughly deserved the win.

This is a tough assignment for him here however and it is hard to see him having much joy against Sinner given the way the Italian has been playing. Expect a straight-sets win for Sinner.
