JANNIK SINNER VS BORNA CORIC PREDICTION

World number one Jannik Sinner returns to action after taking a short break following Wimbledon and the Italian will relish returning to the hard courts where he enjoyed so much success in the first half of 2024.

He started the year winning the Australian Open and followed that up by winning in Rotterdam. He was knocked out in the semis by Carlos Alcaraz at Indian Wells before picking up another title in Miami at the ATP 1000 event there. He thrived on hard courts and he will be fired up to return to winning ways this week after a minor drop off in form based on his sensational first half of the year.

He opens his Montreal campaign against Borna Coric who he beat in their only previous meeting on clay back in 2022 in Monte-Carlo. The 27-year-old Croatian had to come through qualifying and then he beat Pedro Martinez in the first round to earn the shot at Sinner.

Coric is more than capable of causing upsets and did so in an ATP 1000 event on a hard court in Cincinnati back in 2022. He has struggled in the two hard court events in Atlanta and then Washington losing in his first match in both of those events in July and it is hard to see him upsetting Sinner here.

JANNIK SINNER VS BORNA CORIC TIP: JANNIK SINNER TO WIN 2-0
