JAN-LENNARD STRUFF VS TOMAS MARTIN ETCHEVERRY PREDICTION
He may not have done it the easy way, but Jan-Lennard Struff has made it through to the quarter-finals by winning four straight tie-breaks against Albert Ramos-Vinolas and Leandro Riedl, and the fifth seed is bound to be in confident mood after stepping up when it mattered most.
Etcheverry, however, tends to excel on clay, and the fact that he was pushed hard by the dangerous Botic van de Zandschulp in the previous round is bound to serve him well ahead of this contest.
The pair’s only previous meeting, at a Challenger event in Bordeaux last year, went the way of Etcheverry in straight sets. Given the manner in which Struff has played this week though, it would be no surprise to see this one go the distance.
