JAN-LENNARD STRUFF VS LORENZO MUSETTI PREDICTION
Jan-Lennard Struff has not played much tennis in recent months and when he has, he has not won a singles match since the Swiss Open back in July. He has an ongoing hip problem that is causing him discomfort and he returned at the Vienna Open last week before losing in three sets to Alex de Minaur.
He is going to be pretty rusty to say the least and while he pushed De Minaur to three sets, the Australian was equally rusty himself.
Lorenzo Musetti is his first-round opponent and the Italian is coming off a semi-final performance in Vienna last week. The 22-year-old Italian has been incredibly active and his breakout year has seen him go 40-26 and reach number 16 in the world.
Musetti won the only previous meeting between the two and that came back in 2022. He has developed plenty since then and we expect the Italian to be better in all areas and to beat Struff in straight sets here.
